The Redskins have been looking for offensive weapons for QB Dwayne Haskins Jr., but have struck out in free agency so far. They were reportedly interested in TE Austin Hooper, but he is signing with the Browns.

The latest report is a big one. Amari Cooper was a big name WR entering free agency after the Cowboys used their franchise tag on QB Dak Prescott. He had said he wanted to return to Dallas, but that didn’t stop the Redskins from trying to pry him away. Washington reportedly offered “significantly” more money to sign Cooper, but he decided to re-sign with the Cowboys for 5-years, $100 million.

The Redskins want to upgrade their wide receiver corps this year. They have a very young group with potential, and a rising star in Terry McLaurin. They also still need to get at least one tight end after the release of Jordan Reed and retirement of Vernon Davis.
