The Detroit Lions rookies took a notable step on Wednesday to becoming true NFL players: they chose their initial jersey numbers. While it may seem trivial to fans, for the players, it’s an opportunity to see their name and number on the back of an NFL jersey, completing the dream of many of these young players.

It can be fun for fans, too, as they now get the opportunity to purchase the jersey of their favorite new player. Although, be forewarned, it’s quite often that rookies choose to change their number before the regular season starts, and in the cases of Jeff Okudah and D’Andre Swift, they will have to change their numbers by the time the season starts due to NFL rules.

So without further ado, here are the jersey numbers of the Lions’ new rookies (per the team’s website):

Jeff Okudah – 1*
D’Andre Swift – 6*
Julian Okwara– 45
Jonah Jackson – 73
Logan Stenberg – 61
Quintez Cephus – 87
Jason Huntley – 41
John Penisini – 91
Jashon Cornell – 96
Jeremiah Dinson – 36
Jalen Elliott – 42
Bobby Price – 47
Luke Sellers – 47
Arryn Siposs – 2
Steven Wirtel – 49
Hunter Bryant – 86

Both Jeff Okudah and D’Andre Swift will eventually have to choose a jersey number between 20-49. Also notable, Julian Okwara’s number (45) is acceptable for a linebacker, but if he’s a officially a defensive lineman, he’ll have to choose a number between 50-99 (with no numbers in the 80s).

UPDATE: In addition to the rookie class, the new free agent additions also got their jersey numbers. Here are the notable ones.

You can see the jersey numbers of all 90 Lions at the team’s official website.
