Georgetown transfer Mac McClung went into the NCAA Transfer Portal early Wednesday afternoon, and his phone blew up shortly after.
The schools that have reached out to McClung so far are Florida, Auburn, Texas A&M, Arkansas, USC, BYU, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Gonzaga, Utah, Arizona State, Oklahoma State and Georgia, sources tell 247Sports.
McClung originally declared for the NBA Draft, but withdrew from the process on Wednesday afternoon.
McClung went through the draft process with agent Daniel Hazan of Hazan Sports Management. McClung had met virtually with a number of teams since his declaration.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound guard from Gate City (Va.) averaged 15.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 21 games during his sophomore season.
McClung averaged 13.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists during his freshman campaign, and was selected to the Big East All-Freshman Team.
Due to the NCAA transfer rules, McClung will be forced to sit out next season before having two years of eligibility. McClung is, however, expected to apply for a waiver to be eligible immediately.
